Greening the Way Ontario Learns:
A Public Strategic Plan for the Advancement of Environmental Literacy

With the release of the summary version of Greening the Way Ontario Learns and the upcoming publication of the complete version, EEON is focused on five major steps to promoting, supporting and implementing the plan:

  1. adopt: implement strategies and/or parts thereof
  2. update: tell us about current relevant activities
  3. partnership opportunities: find out about potential partnerships with other players
  4. post: ideas and ask for comments from other website visitors and EEON members
  5. resources: view online resource list and/or provide further resources

As well, there are several other ways to get involved in supporting environmental education in Ontario.

  • Help raise awareness of the need for environmental education.
  • Participate in the strategic planning process.
  • Help implement the Strategic Plan for Environmental and Sustainability Education .
  • Help to convince influential people in all sectors of the need for environmental education.
  • Let Environmental Education Ontario (EEON) know how you are working to increase environmental knowledge in Ontario.
